OGA Open Play Thanks

The OGA family would like to thank all of those that participated in the First Annual OGA Open Play charity event. Most of all we would like to thank the generous donors that helped us with prizes. Hero Forge we love your products and were so thrilled to have your gracious donation of the two gift certificates for the premium miniatures on your website. Echo Chernik you, like your work, are absolutely amazing for giving us the extra print of Pie Chthulhu when we ordered your Goddess of Spices print. Last but not least we thank Gale Force 9 for your remarkable donation of your games World of Tanks, Dune, and Star Trek Ascendancy.

We are thrilled that we were able to game for good causes and be able to raise funds for two charities that truly do-good work. Since 1962, St. Jude’s Hospital has been striving to advance cures and the means of prevention of pediatric diseases through research and treatments at no cost to parents and/or guardians, no child is turned away for race, religion, or financial status. Which is one of the reasons that we chose this charity, the OGA family is inclusive and we believe that mental and physical health shouldn’t come with a high price tag. We felt it was worth gaming for at least one parent not to have to worry about a medical bill.

Since 2004 The Able Gamers Charity has enhanced the lives of those with disabilities by enabling them to play video games and stay connected through technological advancements such as mouth controllers, eye gaze tracking, and more. This inclusivity is again what drew us to this charity, we believe that everyone no matter their race, religion, disability, gender, should be able to connect through gaming. OGA is pleased to have helped raise funds for The Able Gamers Charity so that they can continue to provide equity in gaming for those with disabilities.

Last but not least we want to say thank you again to the participants of our First Annual OGA Open Play charity event, for without you we would not have been able to raise awareness and funds for these charities. We had a fun time and hope you did too, please join us again next year as we are planning ahead for the next charity event.

Peace, Love, And Gaming to All.
